A paper heart
Twice folded
And left on your desk.

It doesn’t appear to be
Anything special.
Just a red piece of paper
In the process of unfolding.

And the words
Written upon it
Don’t appear to be
Anything special.

But through your
Quiet interpretation
We find either that they are
Or that they are not.

We all need an interpreter.

Nice, but always with your little twist.
:iconmarzguy:
Thanks. After I write some of the ugly, senseless stuff I feel compelled to do something like this.

Balance, I suppose.

And thanks for the comment on "no interpretation needed." I like that comment more than you know, because I think poetry should be freed to do that. Not all the time, but at times.

Thanks Sue.

As it comes from my brain "the twists" seem like normal observations to me, in a way, but I'm glad that they play well. ('specially in Arkansas.)
