I cant do ANYTHING right.
And so you cant.
I dont have what it takes.
Indeed, you dont.
Im not very good at this.
I can tell youre not.
I have trouble finishing things.
And so you wont.
Im not very pretty, you know.
Yes. Ive noticed.
A brief interlude.
Thoughts transformed.
Im about to get it right.
An expectation.
Im developing what it takes.
Corrective action.
Ive gotten better at this.
A sign of progress.
Its time to get this done.
Your goal. Achievable.
Im pretty in a thousand ways.
Youve begun to shine.

Oh. Didn't I tell you?
We DID enter your head. Some amazing things there, but we left the purple zebra and neon bongo drums alone and just took a small sliver of compassion.
Let me know if you need it back.

I saw three Goths
Skipping down Maguire Street.
It made my heart soar.
Ah, feel free to keep the compassion. My treat. I have plenty.

I don't quite understand the question.
Arrogance reflects an inflated self-image which, I guess, could come from to much internal "I am the greatest" thinking.
Upsetting thoughts would be destructive ones, like the ones first highlighted in this piece.
I think the main point is....what are we saying to ourselves?
You know there are a few times I've caught you talking down your own capabilities, 400. You've got to talk to yourself in a more constructive way if you expect achievement to become your reality.
If you start getting arrogant, I'll let you know.

The picture works beautifully with this piece. Thanks for allowing me to use it.
And I welcome you as my latest "watcher." I hope I still have a good poem or two left in me.

Set a bird's wings with gold and it will never again soar in the sky.
